Hello! Searching for a TRNSYS compiler I have been informed that problems occur by compilingType 56 and Type 109 withthe latest!? IntelVisual FortranCompiler Version. Can you please tell me if this problem is already solved at Version 10.1. Which compiler, i.e. standard, professional... (for Windows), would you recommend tome ifI am planning to create Types onmy own and ifI am planning to use the free available "codes" at TESS. Thanks, Kai

The only difference in the professional compiler is that it includes the IMSL libraries. There is also an option to purchase Fortran together with the MKL performance libraries, including Intel-optimized Lapack/BLAS. There are various entirely different applications named TESS, so I can't advise you specifically on the information you have provided. Unless you have a specific requirement for IMSL, you would not purchase the package which includes it. It seems unlikely that any "freely available" application would require IMSL, while the Intel MKL libraries would be compatible with any application which uses open source versions of the same libraries.
Most of us don't have access to problem report status so as to know about any submissions such as you speak of.

Aa of version 10.0, there are three "editions":
Standard Edition
Professional Edition (same as Standard plus Intel MKL)
Professional Edition with IMSL (same as Professional plus IMSL)
As Tim says, if you don't need the additional libraries, you don't need to buy them, though the Professional Edition (with MKL) is a bargain and highly recommended.
I am unaware of any specific issues regarding TRNSYS.
