Are there really anyhard-copy manuals available for Intel Fortran Language Reference? (It seems there once was one for $55 but I can't find it now.) I don't especially like the prospect of printing an 858 page .pdf file. If not, does anyone know of some kind of service that can make a nice copy of a .pdf file? The DEC manuals had the language extensions printed in blue and the standard stuff black...a tremendous plus! (I have an April 1997 Digital Fortran manual that I am currently using, perhaps it is sufficient?) I'd like the Libraries Reference in hard copy too.
Thanks
Richard

Yes, there is a printed Language Reference. I have one on my desk. But I agree that we seem to have made it extremely difficult to order one.

Try this. Call Shop Intel at 877.649.5817 and ask for the Intel Fortran Language Reference, part 253261-001 Let me know how it works out.

Please be aware that this book reflects the 8.0 product and has not been updated since then, but it is a good reference.

None of the other manuals are available in printed form - sorry.

Printed Documentation: Printed copies of the Intel Fortran Language Reference manual can be purchased from one of our resellers or by calling the phone numbers provided in the Compiler Purchasing Information table on the Buy/Renew page. This printed manual is available at an additional price of $55. An online version of this manual is included with the product. The Intel Fortran Language Reference describes the Intel Fortran programming language for both Intel Visual Fortran Compiler 8.0 for Windows* and Intel Fortran Compiler 8.0 for Linux*. It describes Intel Fortran statements, intrinsic procedures, directives, source forms, and other language elements, and it visually identifies Intel Fortran language extensions to the Fortran 95 standard. Please note this printed documentation is available only for the 8.0 version of this compiler.

Unfortunately, the page that points to has been changed and there is no phone number listed. I'll let the appropriate people know.

I called"Shop Intel" and gave them the part number...no dice. They could not find anything but the .pdf file. The part number you gave is shown in the .pdf file so when I "Googled" it, it was just the .pdf files that came up.
I'd appreciate any source for a new or used manual.
Thanks

Sigh. I'll ask our marketing people what's going on here...

You may want to get a quote from a printing shop such as Kinkos to see what they'd charge to print from the PDF in color. Probably too much...

Call Jo Ann Slocum at Programmer's Paradise, 800-423-9990 and she'll hook you up. Tell her I sent ya... Their part number is "I23 0D98". Price is $55.

Just a reminder - this book reflects version 8.0 and we don't have current plans to update it. It's an excellent reference if you don't mind using the on-disk documentation for the language features added later.

The Intel business manager tells me that this book will likely not get reprinted/restocked, as we don't sell enough to make the inventory worthwhile. So if you want a copy, I suggest you order it soon.
