I need to set up a project under CVF Professional Version 6.6B with a dependency of files *.f90 on *.gen. That is, if for example
- I have a source file listed in the project called foo.gen,
- I have a source file listed in the project called foo.f90,
- foo.f90 is either older than foo.gen or non-existent,
then a "generator" program that I have prepared separately should be run, with input foo.gen and output foo.f90. Then, foo.f90 should be used along with the other source programs *.f90, written manually, to produce, ultimately, my application, something.exe.
The CVF help file is quite clear. It says go into Project -> Settings -> Custom Build tab and click on the "Dependencies" button. A big problem is that, under the "Custom Build" tab, there is no "Dependencies" button, but only buttons labelled "Directory", "Files", "OK", and "Cancel".
To start with, it would help me if several of you would please tell me whether your "Custom Build" tab has a "Dependencies" button or not.
Whatever your response to the above question, I would be grateful for detailed instructions, or even a hint, on how to set up a dependency such as the above, with or without the button that the help file describes. If the help file is wrong on that point, it is probably wrong on others as well.
Incidentally, I asked Technical Support about this matter, since the disagreement between the help file and the software is definitely a bug. The only answer I got was an automatic acknowledgement, which is very disappointing.

The Dependencies button appears on my system when I click, in the Setting For panel, on the file for which I am setting up a custom build.
When I click on the Project, the button isn't there.
