Symbol information corrupt

With Intel Visual Fortran 8.1, the symbol table seems to be corrupted only when I link to additional, proprietary libraries on XP platform. Some items of note: Fortran calling convention = CVF, runtime library = debug Multithread DLL (\MD or \MDd).

Can someone please provide some insight as to why the linker would generate the code with a corrupt symbol table? Perhaps this will haelp lead to a solution.

Thanks.

Which Visual Studio version are you using? Where did these libraries come from? What is the form of the "corruption"? Why are you still using 8.1?
