Unable to install Intel Parallel Studio XE

I had registered for the Parallel Studio XE and have received an email from Intel with serial number. However, when I try to install, I get the following message

"Install program failed to establish an Internet connection for activation. Please choose an alternative activation option." what does this mean?

I also tried using lic file.

"The license file provided is invalid."

What am I doing wrong?

The default install requires that the installer be able to connect over the Internet to Intel to copy down the appropriate license file based on the serial number. It suggests trying an alternative, such as a .lic file, but you need to get the right one. If you can log in to https://registrationcenter.intel.com/, you can download a current license file for your product.

If you need more help you will need to open a support ticket at https://supporttickets.intel.com/servicecenter?lang=en-US as licensing issues can't be handled in the forum.
