I only have the Digital Visual Fortran Professional, Version 6.0. Since I did not make the CVF Professional upgrade, is it still possible for me to get the IVF 8 Professional upgrade price? Surely, there are many others in my situation.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes, you are eligible if you have 6.0 or later. You will need your serial number to validate the purchase. Versions earlier than 6.0 are not eligible for CVF upgrade pricing, however.

I have received some renewal licenses of IVF 8.0 which are upgrades from DFV/CVF 6.0. In the email from Intel with the licenses, the following message is written:
"If you have purchased a support service renewal, you can register the serial numbers, which will extend your support services for 1 year from the date of expiration of your original product support service. Note that you need to have registered your original product serial numbers in order to re-activate it with your renewal serial numbers."
I wonder to which web page at Intel I should submit my 20 digit DVF serial numbers
"33406-XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXX", as the page at https://shale.intel.com/registrationcenter/accepts12 digit serial number only:
"All Intel Software Development Products' serial numbers have the following form:
1234-12345678"

Hello,
The term'upgrade' is misleading. There is no direct upgrade path from Digital/Compaq Visual Fortran to Intel Visual Fortran. These are 2 highly compatible but still different products developed by the same engineering team.Digital/Compaq Visual Fortran 6.x users receive a NEW Intel Visual Fortran license at a special discounted price of $200 instead of the $499 published list price.
If you ordered and received a SSR - service, support, renewal - serial number, our system will reject it (as you found out) as the serial number is looking for the original license to renew. Digital/Compaq Visual Fortran serial numbers are not in the Intel registration database.
Please write to me at Fortran@Intel.com and I'll get you on the right track.
Take care,
Christian - Intel Corp.

If you have already purchased your Intel Fortran upgrades, you no longer have a need for the DVF/CVF serial number. Register the Intel Fortran serial number only.
