What is the difference between Parallel Studio as opposed to Visual Studio?

Intel compilers come in packages called parallel studio. Corresponding Microsoft c++ compiler comes in visual studio package.

Yes. If you do not have visual studio installed there is a cut down version (VS shell) that gets installed with the fortran.
