parallel_studio_xe_2020_composer will not install in either VS2019 or VS2022 CE

My Win10 installation of

parallel_studio_xe_2020_composer_edition_for_fortran_setup  (also tried Update 4)

stops the post-extraction. in 5-10 seconds into installing “PARALLEL STUDIO XE COMPOSER EDITION for Fortran 2020”

on two different PCs, with fresh installs of both

PSXE 2020 does not support VS2022.  So that combo won't work.  Check your Release Notes

For VS 2019 you need NO GREATER than the version shown on this page.  It's quite possible a newer build of VS2019 has broken the PSXE 2020 integration.  Probably related to THIS BUG REPORT

there will be no more releases of PSXE.  So if you want to use recent Visual Studios I recommend moving to the latest oneAPI 2022.1 version.  That said, because of THIS BUG REPORT we'll have a patch update release coming very soon, hopefully in the next week or so, that will fix the MS breakage of VS 2022.  

Microsoft is releasing aggressive 'patch releases' all the time now that can and do break previous versions of our Integrations into Visual Studio.  Sorry you encountered this, but really we respond as quickly as we can to changes they are making asynchronously and without warning.

From your link it looks like VS 2019 16.11.6 (mine in .11) is oneAPI 2022.1 compatible so should work for me.

But I cannot find a way of downloading the Community Edition by version

After many decades, I finally stopped paying “support”  so PSXE 2020 Update 4 (Intel Compiler 19.3.1) is therefore my last.

Doesn’t that preclude me using oneAPI Release  versions?

IF for some reason you NEED PSXE 2020, yes, you can or should use VS2017 which is supported by that compiler in PSXE 2020. 

Is there a reason you do not use the newer oneAPI 2022?   As I said, hopefully early next week we'll have a patched version release to support the latest patch to MS VS2022 and 2019. 

Perhaps you need to get something working today or this week and weekend.  Then yes, PSXE 2020 and VS2017 combo should work fine.  Knock on wood.  Don't forget to install the C++ Components in VS before installing Intel PSXE 2020.
