Hello,
I was using an older version of GPA (2014 R2 I believe) and tried to update to the one in the new INDE package. It uninstalled the old version but the installer of the new version failed immediately with the following:
"Failed to process component: Graphics Frame Analyzer & System Analyzer
Windows Installer failed to configure product:
Error message: The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this
package. This may indicate a problem with the package. The error code is 1. {{The
arguments are: 2, 3, 4}}
Error code: 1603
File name: gpa_14.3_release_232800_x64_INDE_starter.msi"
I tried launching the gpa_14.3_release_232800_x64_INDE_starter.msi manually from the temp directory and it fails immediately after clicking continue with:
"The installer hass encounted an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this packate. The error code is 2739"
I tried both the online installer and downloading the full install package (w_inde_2015.0.011.exe).
As the installer uninstalled the previous version, and I cannot find the old version for download anywhere anymore I am left with not being able to run GPA at all. So any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,
Sorry that you are running into this issue.
Can you tell me a little more about the configuration of the system where you are installing the product?
Until we get this straightened out, you can get a copy of the previous version (r2) from this page under "legacy platform support".
thanks!

Hi,
One thing that you could do to help us debug this...
Can you please try the install one more time, then look in %temp% and attach a copy of the most recently modified msi*.log file.
thanks!

Hi,
Even if you want to stick with R2, could you please let us know what system configuration you have that causes this issue -- right-click on the GPA Monitor and copy the "About..." info here.

Hello,
Sorry that you are also running into this issue. From what you're showing, it appears that you were attempting to upgrade from 2014 R2 to INDE -- is this correct?
Also, I'm assuming that you're seeing the same error messages -- could you also include a copy of your install logs for us to look at? If you want you can send them to me via a private message.
Thanks!

Hello,
Did some more checking, and I saw other Intel INDE components may be running into a similar issue, so check out these links:

Please let me know if this helps.
