Intro for Intel HLS

Hi, I am very new to using Intel FPGA-related programming tools, and I am trying to get used to using it.

Before I start using Quartus and modelsim, I used AMD Xilinx tools - Vitis and Vitis HLS.

I did some projects using Vitis HLS and Vitis.

But, because of some reason, I need to use Intel FPGA, so I am trying to use HLS of Intel, but it seems hard to get used to this.

Currently, I am reading documentations for Intel HLS and Quartus, but somebody can give me some tutorial link, or documents how to use Intel Quartus and HLS?

Thank you for you reply in advanced!

Hi @kgh1030,

Thank you for posting in Intel community forum and your interest in Intel product, hope all is well.

As you are just starting out Intel HLS, I would strongly suggest to look into Intel oneAPI IP Authoring (IPA) instead.

Reason being IPA will be the go to product that have similar/more capabilities with HLS.

For understanding more on oneAPI IPA you can refer to the getting started guide in the link below:

There are also ready available example design which you can compile and execute, more details in the github link below:

As you are unfamiliar with Intel oneAPI product, here are also a video which will be helpful to get the overall understanding on the product:

Note: please do let me know if you wish to know more on Intel HLS instead.

Best Wishes
