Below is a list of new features for your reference. Your partcipations of 5.0 betaand feedbacks are very important to us, please periodically check IPP web sitefor beta update. If you are a registered IPP user with Intel Premier Support, you will be notified via emailwhen it is launched.

- Intel Pentium Processor Extreme Edition with two full processing cores
- Intel IXP4XX Product Line of Network Processor
- Expanded Codec Support
- Unified Media Class (UMC) and Unified Speech Class (USC) interface to all supported codec samples
- New Codec Support (APIs and UMC/USC samples)
- Echo canceller compatibility to G.168-2000 and G.167
- UMC DV decoder NTCS and PAL support, multi-threading support, new special DV color conversion API
- H.261, H.263 video decoder samples based on to UMC.
- New MPEG-2 Splitter
- Main profile decoder support in H.264
- Embedded IA32 Support with Windows* CE
- Expanded Functionalities
- For Intel Pentium processors, Itanium processors, Intel Xeon processors with Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology and Intel IXP4XX Network processors
- Extensive Color Conversion additions
- Data Compression to support zlib algorithm and file format, Huffman Coding and Variable Length Coding(VLC)
- Additional algorithms Diffe-Hellman, Elliptic Curve in Cryptography
