Access mounted partition

Jump to solution

I noticed that when Edison is connected to a PC through an OTG cable, I can see a mounted partitions of 766 Mb, and I can transfer files to it.

To the best of my understanding that is mounted under /media/storage, however that folder appears empty even if I put something in the mounted disk:

When and if I try using filezilla to save files to that location, transfer fails.

Could someone point me to documentation or explain how this partition works?

Hi VladimirAkopyan,

Thank you for contacting us.

To do this you have to mount the partition first, when you do this the storage in your PC will disappear, so you have to unmount it to see it again in your computer, so it is a complicate process. Check this thread: https://communities.intel.com/thread/55520 https://communities.intel.com/thread/55520

If you want to transfer files to your Edison, I recommend you to check this link: https://gist.github.com/darylposnett/3e5d601584aa581722b5, I normally use WinSCP to transfer files, but feel free to use any method that you want.

I hope you find this information helpful.

Regards,
