Bluetooth Buttons (Play/Pause) not working after 1803 update

I have the Intel m3 stick with Windows 10, recently with the 1803 update, it broke the Bluetooth headset buttons (Play/Pause) whilst I watch anything with media players like VLC or others, can Intel please fix this issue with a bios update or a bluetooth update so I could use my bluetooth buttons again?

Yea, lots of reports of this update screwing up Bluetooth. Do the following:

  1. Download latest Bluetooth and Wireless drivers from Intel Download Center. The download page for your Compute Stick is here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/91980/Intel-Compute-Stick-STK2m3W64CC Downloads for Intel® Compute Stick STK2m3W64CC.
  2. Temporarily disable wireless at your router.
  3. Completely uninstall the Bluetooth and Wireless Drivers.
  4. Reboot.
  5. Install the latest Bluetooth and Wireless drivers, in this order. If Bluetooth driver asks for
  6. Reboot.
  7. Test (and re-enable your Wireless).

Hope this helps,

I have no other suggestions. Intel Customer Support (intel_corp) will need to have the networking team look into this.

Hello Rebecca1284,

Thank you for joining this community.

Based on the brief description of your issue, we understand that the latest Windows* update affected the Bluetooth* functionality of your machine.

In order for me to assist you better, please provide me with the .txt file that the System Support Utility will generate. To attach a file, you must click the "Attach" option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.

this is an issue on every single pc with the 1803 update, check for yourself, get a bluetooth headset, pair it with your pc with the 1803 update and start a video with VLC for example, then press the pause button on your headset, you'll see it won't work.

Hello Rebecca1284,

Thank you for your response.

In this case, we got plenty of machines with Windows* and headsets (Bluetooth), however we have not been able to replicate this issue.

As share before in order to isolate the issue, please provide me with the .txt file that the System Support Utility will generate. To attach a file, you must click the "Attach" option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.
