Hi,
Was the Edison module certified by Bluetooth SIG? If so, what is the QDIDs used? I'm trying to search for the Edison module on Bluetooth SIG but I can't find it.
I guess main question is, what do we need to do in terms of Bluetooth Certification if we are using the Edison module for an end product? It seems to me we need to buy a Declaration ID and then use the existing Intel QDID to List our product. Is this correct?
Thanks,
Erik

Hi Erik,
Thank you for contacting us. With the Bluetooth certification on the Edison happens something similar to the Wi-Fi certification.
The Intel Edison module is certified by itself and the end product would need to be certified as a whole.
We'll look for more information to see if the Edison was certified by Bluetooth SIG. We'll update as soon as we have more information.

Hi Erik,
Thank you for your patience. After investigating about this case we found that it is the end product (design) team who needs to seek BluetoothSIG certification if you desire to use the logo and certified mark on your product, as these marks are inherited by derivative designs.
Let us know if this answers your question.
