Hello,
I'm trying to communicate with my android phone and my edison through bluetooth,
https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/connecting-the-intel-edison-board-to-your-android-phone-wi... IoT - Connecting the Intel® Edison board to your Android* Phone with Serial Port Profile (SPP) | Intel® Software
i followed some tutorials to that and everything seems to be working.
when running the SPP-loopback.py i can see under bluetoothctl that an serial port has been added.
the problem is that i can't find my edison on my phone with the bluetooth spp pro app or the bluetooth spp manager.
I can find it under the regular bluetooth options and pairing and connecting is not a problem.
I've tried different android/windows phone devices and i get the same results on all of them. i can connect with the edison but not with an spp app.
Does somebody has an idea what i'm doing wrong?
Greetings,
Ron

Hello Ron,
Which image are you using? In case you are using Yocto 3.0, then this behavior is expected as a known issue, as you can see in https://communities.intel.com/thread/101689 https://communities.intel.com/thread/101689.
In case you are on the previous image, then I'd suggest you to follow this guide: https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-100754 https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-100754.
Peter.

Thanks for the reply, I'm using Yocto 3.0 and as I'm reading it has a bug in it. I think that's my problem so I'll try it on an older version
