I was using a Galileo Gen 2 board and I accidentally connected VIN pin to a PWM pin. Now the board is not booting anymore (Boot error message) and it gets very hot.
Is the board dead or there is something I should do?
The Intel Galileo Board User Guide ( http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/embedded/products/galileo/galileo-user-guide.html), page 10, regarding the VIN pin states the following: The voltage applied to this pin must be a regulated 5 V supply, otherwise it could damage the Intel® Galileo Board or cause incorrect operation.
That being said, unfortunately, it is very likely that the issue you are experiencing (high temperature and boot error) is directly related to a damage resulting from connecting the VIN pin to the PWM pin.
