Cannot open Serial1 with the latest WinIoT image

I'm developing in Visual Studio 2013 Pro with Dev for IoT 1.0 added on. My target is a Galileo Gen 2 running 9600.16384.x86fre.winblue_rtm_iotbuild.150309-0310_galileo_v2.

I can use the Serial object exposed by HardwareSerial.cpp to talk to the "\\.\COM1" device. However, when I try to open Serial1 to access the second port on "\\.\COM2", I get an "Error 2 due to invalid handle value: The system cannot find the file specified." What is the correct _comPortName for the second port?

Thanks.

Hi RonBeck62,

I suggest you to contact http://ms-iot.github.io/content/en-US/Community.htm Windows IoT with your question because they are the experts with this image.

You can also check the HardwareSerial.cpp and the headers of the library, maybe you can find some information in there.

Regards,

Charlie
