Hello everyone,
I am new in programming intel edison. My problem is, in Arduino IDE, I am able to upload a program, i.e. blink, and see the code executed by edison. However, when I unplug the usb cables and disconnect the edison from the pc and power it up with 9v battery, the embedded code doesn't run which is very frustrating .It seems that immediately I unplug the usb cables, edison resets its memory. What might be the problem? (I checked the ports and boards in Arduino IDE, terminals are correct when connecting a battery.) I appreciate any response, thanks in advance.

Hello kelleci,
That issue has been reported before, and it only happens with the latest Yocto image version. Hopefully it will be fixed in future releases, but in the meantime I recommend you to re-flash the Edison with the following image version: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/24910/Intel-Edison-Software-Release-2-1?httpDown=htt... Intel Edison Software Release 2.1
You can flash the Edison using the Flash Tool Lite. You can download it from the following site: https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison/downloads IoT - Intel® Edison Board Download | Intel® Developer Zone
Regards,
Diego.
