Hello,
Currently I am working on a drone project. I want the drone to send some data to a cloud and for that I need to connect the drone with internet. I searched through the internet for possible affordable solutions but couldn't find any. I want to know how can I connect Intel Edison to 3g/4g network so that I can upload and download data from a cloud. Had anybody used the 3G/4G usb dongle successfully on intel Edison?

Hello waqarrashid33,
In the Shield Testing Report for Intel® Galileo Board and Intel® Edison Board (http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000005913.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000005913.html) you can find several options for shields compatible with Edison that are 3G capable. Also there is a upm example for grovegprs found in https://github.com/intel-iot-devkit/upm/blob/master/examples/c%2B%2B/grovegprs.cxx https://github.com/intel-iot-devkit/upm/blob/master/examples/c%2B%2B/grovegprs.cxx.
