Controlling the paired BT device

Hi Experts

Is it possible to change the QoS or BT stack functionality of the paired and connected device.

Suppose Device A is paired and connected via BT to Device B. I need to change Device B's BT stack parameter like QOS etc.

Many Thanks in advance

Hi Protocoder,

Thanks for your interest in the Intel® Edison Platform.

We would like to let you know that the Intel Edison module comes with BlueZ software stack that is the official Linux* Bluetooth* protocol stack, please take a look at http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/edison/sb/edisonbluetooth_331704007.pdf Intel® Edison Bluetooth* Guide, in order to know more details about its operation, scanning and connecting devices, and Bluetooth profiles on the Edison among other information.

Moreover, could you please give us more details about what you want to achieve? Any additional detail you can provide will be useful.

Regards,

The problem is to avoid many types, models of BT for our project, I need to use my existing BT device and should be able to change the settings of the BT protocols

example: 1, Replicate BT versions using a single device

2. Modify the stack parameters like HCI, QOS etc of the edge device BT

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks In advance

Hi Yermi

Thank you very much. I really appreciate your help. This is necessitated to automate and test BT (Device under test) inter-operability of various BT versions and stacks and vendors.

Thanks in Advance

Hi Protocoder,

We have been investigating and also looked at our communities and we have not heard of anybody that has done this before. Given this is not an issue with the Edison, there's not much we can do to help you. We suggest you to contact the developers of BlueZ: http://www.bluez.org/contact/ http://www.bluez.org/contact/ and see if they have any recommendations on how to achieve your project goal.
