Does the Compute stick have to plugged into HDMI port to function?

After the initial setup does the Compute stick (Windows BOXSTCK1A32WFC) have to be plugged into the HDMI to function? I want to use it via remote access (VNC or RDP) where a monitor/TV is not required.

Hello DougFeichtl,

Thank you for joining the Intel communities.

You can use the Intel® Compute Stick STCK1A32WFC for remote control; you can see the ones we have tested here:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/intel-compute-stick/000006029.html Tested Peripherals for Intel® Compute Stick

I don't see why not to use VNC or RDP just make sure you have the latest https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25506/BIOS-Update-FCBYT10H-86A- BIOS version

Regards,

Ivan
