I installed the Eclipse IDE for Edison and when I try to open a new Project I am getting the following error:
Plug-in "com.intel.iotdevkit.ide" was unable to instantiate class "com.intel.iotdevkit.ide.project.ProjectWizard".
Here is a Screenshot:
I have installed JRE v8.0 64-bit. Do you have any solution for the problem?
Thanks in advance
Hi freddy7phil ;
Have you tried to install the integrated Windows 64 installer from here http://www.intel.com/support/edison/sb/CS-035180.htm Intel® Edison Boards and Compute Modules — Software Downloads?
Also, are you following the recommended guides?
http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-035343.htm Desktop Boards — Intel® IoT Platforms Getting Started Using Eclipse
https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/getting-started-with-eclipse-on-intel-iot-platforms# launch Getting Started with Eclipse on Intel® IoT Platforms | Intel® Developer Zone
https://software.intel.com/en-us/node/519931 Running a Sample Application
Is the problem happening after pressing "Create C/C++ IoT Project" or after trying to modify the properties of the project?
ya I did install from the integrated Windows 4 installer. I also tried downloading the Eclipse IDE package seperately and getting a different error while compiling.
Here is the screenshot:
I have also tried installing both ways in a entirely new PC with the same results. Am I doing something wrong?
I did a fresh install and found out I made a silly mistake. I was launching the Eclipse app instead of the customized Batch-file. That was the reason for the errors.
Thanks for the support.
