Edison Oscillator and timer

I am doing a project, which will use timer in Edison.

Does Edison only have the TSC deadline timer? I can only find this one.

And Is anyone have some documents about oscillator in both Edison compute module and Edison Breakout Board? I can not find these in the Hardware guides.

Hi Young_23,

We have provided most available information in your other thread /thread/98327 https://communities.intel.com/thread/98327. However, you can still take a look at the http://download.intel.com/support/edison/sb/edisonmodule_hg_331189004.pdf Edison Compute Module Hardware Guide (which according to your description you might already checked before) and check sections 4.1 to see the available clocks of the module. All available features of the clocks are mentioned in that section. I am afraid this is all the information available, but we'll investigate this further. We'll get back to you soon.

Regards,

Pablo

Hi @PabloM_Intel

Do you know the model number of Quark on edison? Is it Quark D1000, Quark x1000 or else?

Can I access the general purpose timer of Quark? Does the timer of Quark have a pinout?

Thank you very much

Hi Young_23,

The information provided in the Edison Compute Module Hardware Guide (http://download.intel.com/support/edison/sb/edisonmodule_hg_331189004.pdf http://download.intel.com/support/edison/sb/edisonmodule_hg_331189004.pdf) is the only information available, there is no other document. Regarding your other question, the MCU on the Edison is a Minute IA CPU.

Regards,

Pablo
