Edison Setup: Green light keeps Blinking on Arduino Expansion Board

Hi

When I power up my Intel Edison as described in https://software.intel.com/en-us/node/628221 IoT - Assemble Arduino* Expansion Board | Intel® Software the green Power LED Indicator started blinking, its not staying still. With the same power supply cables (power chord, USB s) I am able to see a stable green light on another Intel Edison I have. Is this an issue with the board??

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by blinking? If the period is a few seconds, it might be an insufficient power supply. Have you tried a more powerful USB power supply?

Hi Istvan,

As I said the same power supply setup is powering up a different Intel Edison board. I have also tried powering it up with the power chord, its still the same.

Hi Janak,

According to the manual http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/edison/sb/edisonarduino_hg_331191007.pdf http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/edison/sb/edisonarduino_hg_331191007.pdf

  • DS2 is the standard LED on the Arduino* board. It runs using the 'blink' code or whenever Digital I/O 13 is asserted High. It can be used as an indicator under direct control.
  • DS3 is the battery charging LED. It will turn on when the LTC4067 is charging an attached battery.

Do you have any problem with the board otherwise? Can you log in with a terminal prog?

Hi Janak,

We are sorry to hear you're having issues with your Edison board, we'll try to assist you with the issue. Istvan, thank you very much for your help.

I'm also wondering if you have any activity in the Serial console. Are you able to connect to the board' serial port?

You can also open a ticket following this link https://customercare.intel.com/%3Flang%3Den-US https://customercare.intel.com/?lang=en-US, where we'll be able to take a closer look at your issue, or let us know if you already opened a ticket and we'll continue helping you via email.

Regards,
