Edison send data to http server using Arduino Wifi library?

Jump to solution

Hi, all

I am using intel edison to collect the data from a vibration sensor. The data is read by a analog pin of the arduino breakout board at a rate of 100Hz.

Now I want to send these data to a server (given a server ip address and port number) , and hopefully I can read these data on my web browser. My question is can I use the arduino wifi library such as "WiFiWebClient" ?

I know the wifi library is for the arduino wifi shield but it seems that it also works for intel edison.

If it is not a workable method, then what is the solution? I used Arduino IDE and prefer to use C language. Many people used MQTT but it is not what I expected.

Thanks!

Hello channinglin,

The WiFi library works with Edison. Actually, I've just tested the WiFiWebClient example and it worked fine.

Regards,

Diego.
