Hello,
I am using the grove recorder:
http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove_-_Recorder http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove_-_Recorder
It plays and records fine and keep the sound in memory from one booth to another.
But I cannot find any doc explaining how we could get the recorder to play a file that would be located on the Edison. I am guessing it would have to load into memory and play but I cannot seem to find any clean way to do it.
So any help/info/ideas would be appreciated. Grove did not have any insights btw.
Gregory

Hi Gregory,
Have you checked any other guides for audio recording with the Intel Edison? I was looking for similar guides and found this one from Sergey http://www.malinov.com/Home/sergeys-projects/audio-block-for-intel-edison http://www.malinov.com/Home/sergeys-projects/audio-block-for-intel-edison. It uses an audio block that provides playback and recording capabilities, so both product have similar characteristics. I'm not about the communication protocol of the Grove Recorder, the Audio Block from the guide uses the I2S/DSP interface of the Edison. Also, for reference information it would a good idea to take a look at the Edison Audio Guide, http://download.intel.com/support/edison/sb/edisonaudio_332434001.pdf http://download.intel.com/support/edison/sb/edisonaudio_332434001.pdf.

Pablo
