Hi!
I'm working on a device which should be ready very fast. Because the possibilities to use the sleep states
(don't work reliable) aren't given at the moment, I'd like to boot up the edison as quick as possible. After
the boot, the following services should work:
- WLAN Interface
- MRAA
- C++ programs should be able to run
What could be an approach to reach objective? I'd like to collect the ideas here...
I think a change of the used bootloader and filesystem is included in the solution.
Greetings and Thx!
Christoph

Hi Christoph,
Thanks for contacting us.
I'd suggest to build a custom image and use only the recipes you need for your application. I mean, when the Edison boot up, it takes time to boot all the recipes included in the default image, so if you build a custom image using only the necessary recipes for your application, the Edison will boot up faster.
In order to build an image I suggest read the BSP (http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000005616.html Board Support Package ) and the Yocto Proyect Manual (http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/1.7.2/mega-manual/mega-manual.html http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/1.7.2/mega-manual/mega-manual.html) as well.
Hope this information helps.
