Gen2 Atom Compute Stick / remote keyboard/mouse App - Invisible cursor

I have a Gen2 Atom-based Compute Stick and use the remote keyboard App (iPhone & iPad).

In this configuration, the mouse cursor is always "invisible" (but working as I can see the icons or text changing background color when on top of them + can click)

When I plug a HW mouse (tried both Microsoft and Logitech), the cursor shows up .... and disappears again when unplugging the mouse USB receiver.

Any idea what can cause this?

Thank you.

Hi Jean-Marc,

I suggest you to reinstall the latest Intel® Remote Keyboard Host App version 1.9 into your pc and the latest version in your iphone. I have tested the application with Android and iOS and I see the cursor.

I tried this before posting my question above, but did it again for the sake of it. I even did it with a 3rd party uninstall tool that removes all remnants of the program (registry, etc ...) and re-installed the remote keyboard app. But didn't see a difference. I still have the exact same problem.

Hi Jean-Marc,

I regret for the inconvenience. My partner is following your issue already on this previous case.

I have a similar problem. I have an iPhone 6 and an Ipad Pro and a BRIX w Intel.....all was working fine for a couple weeks. Now due to an update or something there is no mouse cursor unless I turn on the wireless mouse. If the wireless mouse is off or goes to sleep the cursor disappears.

Uninstalled and reinstalled both client and app. Rebooted several times. I can type and all the windows keys, power etc. work, just no mouse cursor (so pretty much worthless).

Hi maddly2002,

In regards to your issue with the cursor, I suggest you verify if your Gigabyte Brix already has the latest BIOS and drivers (Chipset, Graphics, USB and the rest of the drivers.

I suggest you to use Gigabyte support website:
