Hello,
I'm starting to use edit a Plateform built with the Intel Edison. I installed the drivers then I should flash the firmware but I'm afraid of loosing my Codes. Will I loose them if I flash the card. Can I get them before flashing the card?
Thank you

Hello Alan,
By codes, are you referring to the sketches you have saved in Arduino IDE ?

Hello Alan,
Do you still require assistance with this issue?
Flashing a new image will delete code and any user configurations.
I would recommend you do a backup on a memory stick or another SD card.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Octavian

Hello Alan,
When you plug in the Edison board by USB you should see it on your PC as a memory stick.
Are you able to access it that way and see your files or codes in there?
By codes, are you referring to the sketches you make in Arduino or something else?

Octavian

Hello,
When I plug my Edison board by USB I don't see it on my PC as a memory stick when I use Windows 7 64bit.
However, when I use a Ubuntu 16.04 (Virtual machine with Oracle VM VirtualBox) I see it on my virtual machine but the memory stick (Size: around 700Mb) is empty.
About the codes, I refer to the sketches. Actually, I aim to get the uploaded codes related to a previous project already done using the same Edison board.
Regards,
Alan

Hello Alan,
Do you have access through the terminal to get the files and are you able to use that connection to extract them?
Also, please let me know what firmware version you are using.

Octavian

Hello,
Yes I do have the access.
Actually the main problem is solved but when still when I plug the card sometimes there's a problem with the attribution of the IP address to establish the ssh connection via WiFi like I posted before.
I use this firmware
Now I do have a problem with pairing a device via bluetooth (I can connect it but can't pair it (see the same picture))
PS: please tell me if i should open a new topic.
Regards,
Alan
