Hola franklinmartens

can you put a windows bootable disk (usb or cdrom) and boot from usb? As you installed linux you need an installation image of windows.

get it from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO Windows 10 ISO (32 bits!!!!) and burn it or write it to a usb stick (with unetbootin for example)

the screen you are seing with UEFI set to linux simply says that you installed linux on your eMMC.

try shutdown the stick then switch on and immediately and continuously press F10 until you see the bootable devices list.

Then, if your usb key is not listed make sure your usb drive is formatted as FAT32, with Master Boot Record partition mapping.

how did you put your windows image on the usb stick?

well, everything looks fine but apparently it does not work... ok maybe try with another stick or burn the iso to disk if you can.

Maybe you can try with a SD card if you have one?

how did you installed linux? I guess by the same mean so your device seems to be able to boot from a usb stick. So my guess is that either your windows image or your usb key are faulty.

Did the Intel® Compute Stick you have came with Windows 8.1 /10 or Ubuntu?

If it came with Windows and you still have the Windows 8.1 partition try to do a system restore. Please follow the steps to do a system restore.

  1. Remove any SD card, if installed.
  2. Press F8 when you see this prompt during boot: F8 to Activate Windows 8.1* Recovery Mode.
  3. Select Troubleshoot.
  4. Select Reset your PC, then select Next.
  5. Select just remove my files.
  6. Select Reset to start the restore process.

Best regards,

Ivan

Please try to do the update Windows again; you can follow the steps to update here:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/intel-compute-stick/000017933.html?wa... Windows® 10 Threshold 2 Update Guide for Intel® Compute Stick...

If after the update you experience some wireless problems you will need to Re-Enable Wireless after updating to Windows® 10 Threshold 2, you can see how to do it at the following link:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000018193.html Re-Enable Wireless After Updating to Windows® 10 Threshold 2

Hello Ivan

as mentioned before I make update BIOS. I proceeded by Instructions to perform the BIOS recovery many times and version is still 01.01.02.1133 no change to 1149.

Used BIOS version FC0031. In download centrum

If unchecked Enable write caching on the device and Update from settings the update (Build 10586) fails. All updates install ok , but (Build 10586) fails.

So my ICS stay on version 01.01.02.1133 with Windows 10 x86 (Build 10240) is that how should be ???

The steps to update Windows 10 Threshold 2 are very clear on the website I provided and it should work, but if you followed the steps when "Windows 10 Threshold 2 update failed but Windows still starts on the Intel Compute Stick" and the problem persists I suggest getting a replacement for the unit.

You can submit a warranty replacement here:

Ivan
