Hi new to this forum, I bought my Compute Stick in 2015, it worked straight out of the box as expected, however for various reasons I never got to use it very much. I have now tried to start using it again, not working,


Hi to all, new to forum.

Problem: Booted up to blank screen - went to F8 to repair windows, tried to restore w/ my files - got stuck at 57% for 8 hours. Tried a complete restore and stuck at 37% for 3+ hours.. Tried a BIOS upgrade still no luck.

Any way to reload windows or can I try loading Mint or am I stuck?

Hi bmakson: Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® Compute Stick communities. We are sorry to hear the Intel® Compute Stick is not working properly.

For this type of scenario what we recommend is basically what you already tried, which is an Operating System recovery using the F8 options:

As an alternative we can also try a BIOS recovery to the latets version, 0035:

If the problem persists after that, then we recommend to get in contact directly with Intel in order to confirm if your unit is eligible for warranty replacement:
