Hi - I have an ubuntu STCK1A8LFC that I want to use as a noticeboard with display but with no keyboard or mouse connected. It is running Chrome in kiosk mode.
Is it OK to switch this device off at the wall or will it cause corruption? If not is it safer to press and hold the power button on the device? If there is a problem can I disable disk writes or something to avoid it?
In regard to your inquiry, what we recommend is to use the power button to turn it off, because if you disconnect the stick directly from the wall there could be a power failure and the stick could get damage, so it will be better to turn it off that way.
There is no option to disable disk writes, so to use the power key to turn it off will be the best option.
Any further questions, please let me know.
I just wanted to check if the information provided above was useful for you and if you need further assistance on this matter?
