How can i make serial comunication using pin rx/tx intel galileo to arduino uno, in my plan i set intel galileo as receiver as arduino uno as sender?

I try use this code in arduino as sender:

int t=2;

void setup(){

Serial.begin(9600);

}

void loop(){

Serial.write(t);

}

I use this code in intel galileo :

int incomingByte;

void setup() {

Serial.begin(9600);

}

void loop() {

if (Serial.available() > 0) {

incomingByte = Serial.read();

Serial.print("I received: ");

Serial.println(incomingByte);

}

}

After i upload, i see in the serial monitor (intel galileo),, there is nothing...

please your help, thankyou

hmmm... I do not understand your idea... I think this would not work in an "Arduino-only" setup either (i.e. trying to use 2 Arduinos), would you please show the connection (cabling) with your current Intel Galileo <==> Arduino setup?

Fernando.

Yes,, actually that is in arduino-arduino,, but i try it in galileo-arduino, the cabling i just connect tx galileo to rx arduino, and tx arduino to rx galileo...

I try in arduino-arduino that's can,, i think galileo have equation with arduino. thats why i try galileo-arduino. but can't

Well... this is even more strange...

at least, I've never seen this usage, and it would mean you are using the Serial interface for both: communicating with another Arduino and with your PC via USB Please send a picture and/or video showing how it works, it's interesting as a debugging environment, actually.

About the Arduino-Intel Galileo connection: Intel Galileo Serial does not use Rx-Tx, but another Linux device. In order to use Intel Galileo RX-Tx, you should use Serial1 in your sketch. Yes, Intel Galileo Serial is not Intel Galileo Rx-Tx.

Actually i use that way because dht can't work in galileo,,

Dht work in arduino then i try use arduino to read dht then the data tmprature n humidity from arduino (use dht) send to galileo....

How can i use rx tx in galileo?

See my previous post, more specifically:

Thankyou for the reply,

But,

What is Serial 1?

Serial1, used as Serial, but it uses the Rx-Tx hardware. Modifying a little bit your code for the Galileo:

int incomingByte;

void setup()

{

Serial.begin(); // For showing something in the Arduino IDE Serial Monitor

Serial1.begin(9600); // For receiving data from Arduino

}

void loop()

{

if (Serial1.available() > 0) // Is there any thing sent from Arduino?

{

incomingByte = Serial1.read(); // Read data sent from Arduino

Serial.print("I received: "); // Show data in the Serial Monitor

Serial.println(incomingByte);

}

}

(take a look where Serial1 is used)
