I use Eclipse for Arduino and Eclipse for Intel Edison.
Eclipse for Arduino is absolutely stress-free,
Eclipse for Intel Edison is ...
What is the special Intel trick to include libraries?
In the project properties I have included the path and/or the name of the library.
Many thanks.
PS: This Intel Eclipse version uses cross-compiling.

Hello Horsten,
Thank you for your interest in the Intel® Edison Compute Module.
The Edison module uses Intel® System Studio IoT Edition to create projects in C++ (https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-system-studio-iot-edition-guide-for-c https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-system-studio-iot-edition-guide-for-c). The Intel® System Studio IoT Edition is a plug-in for Eclipse that allows you to connect to, update, and program IoT projects on your compute module.
The User Guide has a section called Adding third party libraries (https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-system-studio-iot-edition-guide-for-c-adding-external-librari... https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-system-studio-iot-edition-guide-for-c-adding-external-librari...) which also provides the steps for installing the necessary plug-in.
If you have any other question, don't hesitate to contact us.
Have a nice day.
Regards,
Andres V.

Hello Andres,
Many thanks.
Docker clashes with other programs on my computer.
Therefore I have to use the previous Intel Eclipse version which not has a package manager.

Hello Thorsten,
Older versions of Eclipse are out of the scope of this technical support team, which is why I provided the previous links.
My suggestion would be to install Docker again and post any issue that you experience in the corresponding community ( https://forums.docker.com/) in order to receive the adequate assistance.
Have a nice day.
Regards,
Andres V.
