How to install image viewer in intel edison

Jump to solution

I am currently learning intel edison and flashed debian linux in edison. (Desktop:Windows 7 operating system). I am working on image processing and wanted to view the images using a image viewer. Can someone suggest a image viewer and also please tell me the commands to install it in linux environment. As I am new to this, i am not quite sure about the commands.

Requirement: I wanted an image viewer to open the images when i ask it to "show" command in the linux. Please help. I tried to install mirage image viewer but failed to do.

Hi bhanukishan,

Thank you for your interest in the Intel® Edison platform, however, we don't support Debian images, we only support the Yocto image which you can find in our site https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison/downloads https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison/downloads. I would suggest you to contact the place where you got the instructions to load the Debian image and ask them for support. Hopefully, they will be able to assist you.

Regards,
