Trying to follow along in the book by Manoel Ramon, and setting up a dev environment to build a galileo image. According to the book, i should issue a apt-get command to install bitbake. However, when i do that, it returns an error, saying it cant find it. This is ubuntu 14.04. How do i finish installing the set up software needed?
thx

Hello RSanders2016,
I'm not familiar with the book you mention, nevertheless I assume it must have passed a few months since it was published, so it may be outdated. For that reason I would suggest you to follow the official guides to build Galileo's image. In that case I would suggest you to follow Quark's BSP 1.2.1 (http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/embedded/products/quark/quark-x1000-bsp-build-sw-rel-user-gui... http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/embedded/products/quark/quark-x1000-bsp-build-sw-rel-user-gui...). In that document you will find the instructions on how to build Galileo's image including how to use bitbake.
Let me know if this information helps you.
Peter.

Peter,
thanks, I think this will do the trick. By the way, the book I was referring to is "Intel Galileo and Intel Galileo Gen 2 API Features and Arduino Projects for Linux Programmers"
thanks again
M Sanders
