Hi - I installed the IoT System Studio. However, any binaries I create and flash to the joule cannot run (access GPIOs) because they don't sudo privileges. I need to manually ssh to the Joule and go to /tmp/ and run the binary with sudo. How can I fix this and run directly from my host machine.
Thanks

Hi Brian17,
I'm sorry to hear that all the binaries that you create don't have any sudo privileges. Could you be so kind to tell me which OS you are using in your Joule?
Please let me know in order to assist you, have a nice day!
Best Regards,
-Jose.

Hi Jose,
My host machine has Ubuntu 16.04. I have not been able to resolve it. I need to ssh to the joule and run the binary with sudo.
Thanks
Brian
Hi conor100,
Thanks for your interest in the Intel Joule Platform.
The Intel System Studio has only been tested with the Ostro OS. I will recommend to contact the Ubuntu Community, maybe somebody has encountered the same issue as you.
Ubuntu Community: https://developer.ubuntu.com/core/get-started/intel-joule Intel Joule | Developer
Now that said I will advise you, to first to check this thread , where a customer was able to remove the user permissions and use the Intel XDK with the Intel Joule running Ubuntu 16.04.
Hope you find this information useful, have a nice day!
Best Regards,
-Jose.
