How to write and execute python files instead of Arduino sketches?

Hello,

i already saw some posts about writing python sketches, but is there a tutorial on how to write these python files, what the arduino syntax is like in python and how i run these files from the sd card or galileo storage?

I found a list with the GPIO ports in Sergeys blog, but no tutorials on how to use these or control the Galileo.

greetings and thanks for helping

Chofrock released a small Python library to deal with the pins in Arduino-style: https://github.com/galileo-chofrock/pyGalileo galileo-chofrock/pyGalileo · GitHub

I published a tutorial two weeks ago, it deals with controlling LEDs and a servo (and face recognition using OpenCV): http://www.golem.de/news/intel-galileo-getestet-hardware-die-sich-freut-1401-104066.html http://www.golem.de/news/intel-galileo-getestet-hardware-die-sich-freut-1401-104066.html

(The bad thing: It's in german, I hope Google Translate is good enough to deal with it)

It also includes a working example script: http://www.golem.de/projekte/galileo/laika.py http://www.golem.de/projekte/galileo/laika.py

(It's commented in german too, but I will upload it to github with english comments ASAP)
