Hello Everybody,
I try to connect to pms1862(ADC) via I2S, but cannot commnicate it.
I understand Edison do not support I2S standard, which means 32 clk per 1 slot.
Edison is 25 clk per 1 slot.
Could you please teach me how to change 25 clk to 32 clk.
Thanks

Hello H.Gan,
Thanks for reaching out!
While what you mentioned was true for previous releases of Edison's image, it no longer is. I2S is now supported on the latest image of Edison (which can be found in https://downloadmirror.intel.com/26028/eng/iot-devkit-prof-dev-image-edison-20160606.zip). In fact there is an Audio Setup Guide for Edison, you can get it in http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000005983.html.
Also, some users have created guides such as this: http://www.malinov.com/Home/sergeys-projects/audio-block-for-intel-edison. I suggest you to check it, I believe you'd find it useful.
However, I don't understand what you mean by:
"...Could you please teach me how to change 25 clk to 32 clk..."
What do you need to change? Could you please specify on this?
Let me know.
-Peter.

Hello Peter,
Thank you for your quick response.
We would like to connect Audio ADC device, which is TI pcm1862, with Edison board via I2S signal.
Normally, I2S standard format(Philips format) is 32 clocks/ch(slot).
However, Edison's I2S format is 25 clocks/ch(slot), due to BCM43340, I guess.
So, can we change I2S clocks from 25 to 32 on Edison board?

Hello Peter,
Thanks.
I hope you find anything quickly.
And also we continue to investigate about this problem.
Let me say again to your understanding.
Please see the attached figure.
We try to connect pcm1862 to SSP2 port of Edison, but not.

Hello Peter,
I am connecting pcm1862 to ssp2 port of edison.
I would like to create edison-pcm1862.patch instead of edison-wm8731.patch.
However, I cannot find a specification sheet required to create this.
Could you tell me, where I should see it?

Hi H.Gan,
We have an update for your case.
The default setting of 25clocks/ch cannot be changed at this time, however, we have been informed that this feature is in consideration for a future release of Edison software. Nevertheless, there is no ETA for when this release might come.
