Hi,
I am working on a project that needs to send data to Azure IoT hub via a 3G module (SIM 5320).
We have successfully set up the IoT hub connection via WiFi and is trying to find a way to do the same using the 3G module.
Does anyone know of any methods to do this ?
Currently the system is connected via UART and works on AT commands.
If there is a way to update IoT hub via AT commands using post or get, that would be the best option.
Is there a way in which I can install the GSM module as a 3G modem in Intel edison ?
Thanks,
SM

Hi,
You can find a few options for GSM shields compatible with Edison in the shield testing report http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000005913.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000005913.html . These modules come with some functionality examples that will help you get started.

There are no documents that discuss 3G or 4G for the Edison besides the one posted above. Some other shields may work on the Edison but the tested ones are the one found in the Shield Testing Report. There are some links of interest, such as
