Intel Edison PWM

Jump to solution

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to output a PWM from edison using Arduino IDE to give the signal to a test chip. I was wondering if anyone could suggest/comment on how to go about this.

Thank you,

Nahi

Hello nahi,

You could use the analogWrite() method. It sets a PWM output signal the PWM pin that you select. Additional information about this method can be found in the following site: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/AnalogWrite https://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/AnalogWrite

Also, you could check the following example, it sets the frequency and duty cycle of the PWM signal:

https://github.com/MakersTeam/Edison/blob/master/Arduino-Examples/setPWM_Edison.ino https://github.com/MakersTeam/Edison/blob/master/Arduino-Examples/setPWM_Edison.ino.

Let me know if it helps.

Peter.
