Intel Edison and MAX30100/5

Does anyone know if the http://https//www.sparkfun.com/products/14045 max30105 works with intel edison using the I2C interface?

It seems the upm code is available https://github.com/intel-iot-devkit/upm/blob/master/examples/python/max30100.py https://github.com/intel-iot-devkit/upm/blob/master/examples/python/max30100.py

but is not working.

Any help?

Hi dippolitos,

Thank you for contacting us. We'll to try to help you troubleshoot this issue.

Could you let us know the error you receive after running the code? The max301058 should work with the Edison, as it is listed in the UPM supported sensor list https://iotdk.intel.com/docs/master/upm/classupm_1_1_m_a_x30100.html .

Make sure you have MRAA and UPM updated on your board. Instructions on how to update UPM and MRAA can be found here: https://software.intel.com/en-us/node/623543

It'd also be of interest to know which image version you're using. You can check this with: cat /etc/version.

We'll be waiting for your response.
