Intel Edison breakout board board layout for EAGLE?

Hi,

I am working on an embedded IoT project with the Intel Edison mini breakout board. I need to design a PCB for my project for which I am unable to find any EAGLE library file support or even Edison breakout board dimensions to create a custom EAGLE library. The provided design files for the board on http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000006448.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000006448.html is not compatible for viewing in EAGLE. Can someone suggest me where I can find any help regarding designing a PCB with connection pins for the mini-breakout board?

Thank you

You should use the .dxf file to get all required dimensions.

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/intel-edison-boards/000006060.html Breakout Board Drawing Exchange File for Boards and Kits

There are many dxf viewers.

I use LibreCAD http://librecad.org/cms/home.html http://librecad.org/cms/home.html

The menu Dimensions in it allows to get exact horizontal and vertical dimensions from any point.

Hello archit,

You would have to create a component in Eagle for the Mini-Breakout board. I recommend you to check the SparkFun libraries and check the component they use for the Arduino UNO footprint. It'll help you to know how to create a similar part for the Mini-Breakout board: https://github.com/sparkfun/SparkFun-Eagle-Libraries GitHub - sparkfun/SparkFun-Eagle-Libraries: SparkFun's Public Eagle PCB Footprints using Eagle 6.0+

On the other hand, there are many tutorials about creating components in Eagle. Take a look at the following suggestions:

Regards,

Diego.
