Hi! I am using an Intel Edison. When I connect the Edison to my desktop with Ubuntu 16.04 I do not see the interface being assigned an IP address. The Intel Edison does get an IP address i.e. 192.168.2.15 but my Ubuntu system does not get an output. Below is the output for both the devices.
Intel Edison :-

Hello parthshah10391,
Thanks for reaching out!
Could you please let us know which steps you have taken so far to create the Ethernet over USB connection?
Are you aware of the following guide?
https://software.intel.com/en-us/connecting-to-intel-edison-board-using-ethernet-over-usb# linux
In case you haven't tried the steps in that guide, could you please do so?
Let us know how it goes.
