Intel Galileo ,RFID and camera

Jump to solution

Hi guys , i'm working on a small project which scans a card using rfid and also does facial recognition using galileo 2 and this is my first time doing anything hardware related , so I am asking for help regarding which RFID reader I should use in terms of Mhz size and also which basic camera can be used in conjunction with galileo 2 and any other relevant information. Thank you

Hello ctaz,

In the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/000005913.html Intel® Galileo Shield Testing Report you can find a few RFID sensors that have been officially verified to work with Galileo. Regarding the camera, I'd suggest you to look for a http://www.ideasonboard.org/uvc/ UVC compatible camera since the eglibc image of Edison already includes the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_video_device_class UVC drivers.

I hope this helps you, let us know.

Peter.
