I purchased an INTEL Edison Breakout Board Kit EDI2BB.AL.K. I see that there is 1GB RAM on the device.
I need more RAM for my application. Is there a way to add RAM to the board?

Hi systemc,
That's not possible. The RAM memory the SoC has cannot be changed. However, there are serial SRAM memories that you could use through the SPI interface, although I'm not sure if this kind of memories will help you since the ones I've seen before are up to 1Mbit: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/25142A.pdf http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/25142A.pdf

Is there any version of Edison with 2GB or 4GB RAM? Is it planned for future?

Hi systemc,
Unfortunately, there aren't other versions of the Edison module, and currently, there aren't plans about releasing a different version of the module.
