Looking for kernel source in Joule OS

Hi,

I followed the steps in https://github.com/ostroproject/ostro-os-xt# customizing-installation-media GitHub - ostroproject/ostro-os-xt: Ostro OS XT with bitbake to build the OS successfully. The ostro-os-xt can be flashed into Joule platform (4.4.26-yocto-standard). Now I am looking for the kernel source for building customer kernel module, but I didn't find the kernel source. In ostro-os the kernel source is under $work/ostro-os/build/tmp-glibc/work/corei7-64-intel-common-ostro-linux/linux-yocto/4.4.20+gitAUTOINC+59290c5f61_94e5bb30ea-r0/linux-corei7-64-intel-common-standard-build, However the corresponding location in ostro-os-xt is empty. Please let me know where can I find this kernel source for ostro-os-xt.

Thanks for your help!

Hello chuntses,

Thanks for reaching out!

Please let me see if I can find the location of Ostro's kernel in its BSP. If I find something useful I'll post it here.

Hi chuntses,

I've an update for your case.

I've found a very useful guide for modifying Ostro's kernel, I'd suggest you to check it, you can find it in https://ostroproject.org/documentation/howtos/modifying-ostro-kernel.html.

Also, I must point out that any modifications to Joule's image and its kernel are not supported by us. Nevertheless, I encourage you to continue with your project and share your findings with the community, other user might find them useful.

Please let me know if that helps you.
