MRAA doesn't work with LiPo Battery on Intel Edison

Hey,

I'm facing this problem with the Intel Edison whenever I'm connecting a lithium polymer battery to the J2 pins. I'm unable to execute my code(which runs fine without the battery) on the edison and I get an error on the MRAA code lines which access GPIO and PWM. The error occurs even when the battery is connected along with a wall wart. Is this expected and is there a way around it?

Hi,

Do you have anything else connected to the breakout board? How much voltage and current does the lithium battery provide? What is the full error log you receive? Have you tried to test the code powering the module using a different method?

Hi Antzy,

Do you have updates on this?

Could you give us more information about the battery and the error you are getting?

Regards,

Charlie

Sorry for the late response. I got an update for Intel XDK and the error no longer appears but the pins still do not toggle.

MRAA is being used to control an L293D IC connected to Edison.

The battery is this one: http://www.adafruit.com/products/258 http://www.adafruit.com/products/258

I'll try testing with LEDs + resistors too if I get some time.
