Missing edison-src Yocto for Intel Iot Developer Kit 3.0

The last Intel Iot Developer Kit 3.0 release is based on an updated version of Yocto Dizzy (1.7.3).

But I cannot find the proper edison-src tarball with the meta-intel-edison layer/recipes in order to apply the BSP user guide pdf below

When Intel will release the sources to build Linux images?

Hello gelware,

There have been a few other threads regarding the same topic, for example:

https://communities.intel.com/message/384915# 384915 https://communities.intel.com/message/384915# 384915

https://communities.intel.com/message/385571# 385571 https://communities.intel.com/message/385571# 385571

Let me check if I'm able to find additional information regarding the source files of the image. Also, I suggest you to stay tuned to the threads above because an update could be posted there as well.

I am aware of the other topics and no one clearly talk about sources / building Edison images as it was with 2.1.

If you publish a new firmware, please you need to let be available yocto sources. You are also passing from Dizzy 1.7.2 (Edison 2.1) to 1.7.3 (Edison 3.0).

Thanks

Any news on the availability of the Yocto edison-src tarball?

Hi fexadom,

We are working on finding a solution to the latest release source code. In the meantime, I suggest you to use the source code from the previous release as the kernel, U-boot, and file system has not changed. The new release made changes to packages that can be included in your custom built.
