Modify UVC driver and open two cameras at same time

dear all:

I got a problem:

edison can not open two camera at same time.I use mjpg-streamer, first camera is ok ,but second camera always said ,No space left on device .

I google it,and found that the UVC driver need to be modified to reduce one camera's resource.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9781770/capturing-multiple-webcams-uvcvideo-with-opencv-on-linux http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9781770/capturing-multiple-webcams-uvcvideo-with-opencv-on-linux

I have use the following command ,it does not works

sudo rmmod uvcvideo

sudo modprobe uvcvideo quirks=128

so I think I still need to recompile the driver to replace it.

but I cannot find the edison's source code .

Can any one help to solve this 2 camera problem ,or help me to get the current version edison's source code?

Thanks~

Hi,

I've never attempted to use two cameras on the Edison and after doing some research I also found a couple links that describe you need to reduce the camera's resources.

What steps have you done to see the No space left on device message? How are you connecting the cameras to the Edison? Are both cameras recognized with dmesg?

The sources from the latest release can be found here https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison/downloads https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison/downloads

Do you still need assistance with this thread, were you able to use two cameras at the same time?
